Donate your time and talents to keeping the archives and our history alive.
Volunteer committees drive many aspects of our work at Queer History Boston.
While “closed groups” are not currently accepting new members, we welcome volunteers to contact us about committees marked “open.”

Join a Committee

Closed group. A professional advisory committee supporting the archives.

Open group. An active group of archives volunteers who carry out archival processing, reference services, digital archiving, digitization work, and more.

Open group. The Development Committee is open to anyone who wants to help with fundraising and grant-writing efforts to sustain Queer History Boston’s work.

Open group. The Events/Outreach Committee is open to anyone who would like to help plan and run public programs and events.

Closed Group. The Organization Committee discusses organizational planning, finances, documentation, etc.

Open group. The Oral History Committee manages and carries out community-based oral history projects.

Closed group. The Public Historians Committee prepares public history projects including public talks, blog writing, and exhibitions.
