Poetry And Motion
What does it look like to manage legacy media collections in the digital age? How can we use art to activate historic films, interviews, music, and other recordings?
Join us at the African Meeting House for the Boston Archives Film Festival, featuring recently uncovered archival films and audio from the Hyde Park Historical Society, the Museum of African American History, Queer History Boston, UMass Boston, and the West End Museum. From oral history recordings to home videos, we’ll experience snapshots of life in Boston over the past 60 years.
Student performers from UMass Boston—poets, musicians, and more!—will present creative responses to the films, making this an engaging evening of art and archives.
